John Power (Cast / The La’s) is in Town!

jpver2Singer, songwriter, musician and Cast frontman, John Power heads out on tour to perform a solo acoustic show; this will be a stunning night of live music including support from Violet Class.

Liverpudlian John Power has been a singer, songwriter and musician who has been at the top of his game since he stepped onto the scene with The La’s in the second half of the 80s. During his five years with The La’s, not only did he prove himself as an excellent musician, he also emerged as an excellent songwriter, something that would truly be realised following his departure from the band in 1991, as the following year he formed Cast where he was the frontman.

Cast went on to have four excellent albums and a string of hit singles over a ten year period until they split in 2025. Following this split, John Power embarked on a solo career which has seen him deliver three further solo albums.

Expect to hear an array of classic tracks from Power’s past as band member and solo artist. This is an unmissable show and an exclusive chance to see the supreme talents and musicianship of John Power up close and personal.

Support band, Violet Class have been championed by the likes of Stephen Street (Smiths, Blur), Matt Barnes (You Me at Six), BBC Introducing, and Pretty Green and the band have enjoyed a busy first year. After playing at Roman Ambrovich’s nightclub, Cass Pennant’s ‘Casuals Live’ gig at The Garage, and recording with Paul Tippler (Elastica, The Charlatans, Chapterhouse, Idlewild Eighties Matchbox et al.) the next in the band’s diary is supporting The Charlatans in Liverpool next month.

Set to be an incredible night of stunning acoustic music, don’t miss out!
