We take three classic horror films, you choose the one we show! Buy tickets for the ‘one’ you want to see. Turn up on the night and only when the curtain goes back will you see if the film you voted for is being shown. The film shown incidentally, is the one that people bought the most tickets for.

Do you have the nerve to take a chance?

The Exorcist 1973 Cert 18 (122mins)

The scary 70s classic directed by William Friedkin. When a teenager is possessed by the devil, her mother seeks the help of two priests. So many infamous scenes!

The Thing 1982 Cert 18 (109mins)

Scientists in a isolated Antartic research station are confronted by a shape-shifting alien that assumes the appearance of the people that it kills. Directed by John Carpenter.

Evil Dead 1981 Cert 18 (85mins)

Starring Bruce Campbell. Five friends travel to a cabin in the woods, where they unknowingly release flesh-possessing demons. The film that launched Sam ‘Spiderman’ Raimi’s career.

8:00 pm An Evening with Germaine Greer

Germaine Greer is so many things: a controversial agenda-setting author (infamous for writing The Female Eunuch and many other works.) A feminist icon and public figure: constantly sought after as a journalist, commentator, reviewer. An ideas person for her views on the role of women in the current world.

This event gives the audience the unique chance to hear the inside story of what enormous fun it’s been being a fearless international feminist icon and highly regarded academic through four decades of change. And you’ll be allowed to ask all those burning questions you’ve been longing to throw at the Prof…serious or lighthearted, from the point of poetry, through sex for the over 60s, to the role of women in the third world.

Expect this unique close encounter with the Prof to be candid, enlightening and highly entertaining.

8:00 pm The Fire

The Fire are fast becoming regarded as the most authentic sounding Jimi Hendrix band around today. Recreating the energy and sound of the guitar legend, the band performs all the classic tracks from the legacy of music Hendrix left after his death forty years ago.

Capturing that unique Hendrix “feel”, The Fire’s live performance is probably the closest thing you’ll hear to Jimi himself.

“A great band, they really capture the feel of the Jimi Hendrix Experience”.
